Why We Built on European Infrastructure
By Michael
When we started building HostStack, the first decision was where to host. Most PaaS platforms default to AWS or GCP in the US, with European regions as an afterthought. We went the opposite direction.
Why European infrastructure?
We partner with one of Europe's largest hosting providers, running their own data centers in Germany and Finland. Their bare-metal servers offer exceptional price-to-performance ratios — which we pass directly to you.
The numbers speak for themselves: a comparable server on AWS costs 3-4x more than on European infrastructure. That is how we offer starter plans at $3.50/mo instead of $7-10/mo.
GDPR by default
With all data stored in Germany (FSN1) and Finland (HEL1), GDPR compliance is built into the architecture. We include a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) for all users — not just enterprise customers.

If your users are in Europe, hosting in Frankfurt or Helsinki means 10-30ms latency instead of 80-120ms to US-East. That difference is noticeable in interactive applications.
