A European cloud, built in Denmark
HostStack is a small Danish engineering team on a mission to give European developers a platform-as-a-service they can actually depend on — without shipping their customers' data across the Atlantic.
Why we built it
Deploying a web service in 2026 should not require a platform team, a Terraform module library, and a six-figure AWS bill. We kept seeing the same pattern on our own projects: start on Heroku or Render, outgrow the per-service pricing, rebuild on raw Kubernetes, then spend half a year regretting it.
HostStack is the platform we wanted for ourselves. Per-resource pay-as-you-go pricing — no monthly plan fees. Real managed primitives — databases, queues, search, storage, email. All of it running on dedicated European hardware, so the economics work for a side-project and for a Series B alike.
Fast by default
Cached, parallel builds. Blue/green rollouts. Boot-to-live in around a minute for most frameworks — and measurable, not just vibes.
Deliberately boring
We use PostgreSQL, Docker, Traefik, and Let's Encrypt because they work. No proprietary lock-ins, no exotic control planes to babysit.
European, not just EU-shaped
Our control plane, infrastructure, billing entity, and support team all sit inside the EU. One jurisdiction, one DPA, one set of rules.
Who runs HostStack

Founder, HostStack
Solo founder. HostStack is run from Denmark by one person who handles product, infrastructure, and operations end-to-end — Hetzner provisioning, PostgreSQL ops, the deploy pipeline, and the dashboard you're looking at.
Also building PostStack — a European email API on the same Hetzner infrastructure, under the same Danish CVR. The two products share an operations team and an EU sub-processor list, but each runs its own database and release cadence.

How we operate
We write our own platform and keep the surface area small on purpose. Every feature has to justify its weight — more switches does not make a better product. If it lives in the dashboard, the CLI can do it. If the CLI can do it, the SDK and Terraform provider can do it too.
Pricing is one of those features. What you see on the pricing page is what you pay. No egress fees. No per-seat surprises. No enterprise-pricing wink-and-nudge for mid-size teams.
The legal bits
HostStack is operated by MICCI — CVR/VAT 45587452 — Fyrretoften 31, 7100 Vejle, Denmark. We are registered in Denmark and invoice all European customers in EUR with a valid EU VAT ID.
