Give your coding agent a computer of its own
A private container with all three agents, the databases and a real browser already in it, and a 10 GB workspace that survives every restart.

Already own a machine? Run production on it
Enrol a spare desktop, a home server or a VPS you already pay for, and deploy live services, dev boxes and databases onto it from the same dashboard.
- No open port
- The machine dials out and keeps one connection. Nothing listens for us.
- No fixed IP
- Visitors hit our edge, never your address. It stays out of DNS entirely.
- No lesser tier
- Same dashboard, deploys, logs, rollbacks and HTTPS on your custom domains.
Deploy apps and databases on European infrastructure
Not a region toggle on somebody else’s cloud. One jurisdiction, enforced where it counts.
One live EU region
Every project runs in Helsinki today, and residency is enforced at the infrastructure layer rather than promised in a settings toggle. Further EU regions are on the roadmap.
200 GB of bandwidth included
Every team gets 200 GB out a month before bandwidth costs anything, then a flat €0.01/GB — so traffic never turns into a surprise line on the bill. The full breakdown is on pricing.
A DPA at signup
Attached to every account automatically — no legal back-and-forth to get one. Sub-processors are listed publicly and limited to EEA-based providers for EU projects.
An EU company, not an EU region
The company is incorporated in the EU, so the jurisdiction covers the business and not only the servers. That is the part a region picker on someone else’s cloud cannot give you.
HostStack vs. Render, Railway, and Fly.io

Questions we hear most often
Common questions about HostStack, EU data residency, pricing, and migration.
Is HostStack a proper Render or Heroku alternative?
Yes — the same git-push workflow, the same managed databases, the same auto-provisioned TLS. The differences are pricing (per-resource pay-as-you-go, not per-app plans), data residency (EU by default), and support (we answer tickets ourselves).
Is there a free tier?
Yes, and it does not expire. The free tier includes one always-available Nano web service (256 MB, auto-sleeps after 60 min idle and wakes on the next request), one Starter Postgres database, one cron job, and one preview environment per project. No credit card at signup.
Where exactly is my data stored?
Today every project runs in our live EU region, Helsinki (Finland), which is the default. Additional EU regions in Nuremberg and Falkenstein (Germany), plus Ashburn (US East) for customers with a US-first audience, are on the roadmap. EU residency is enforced at the infrastructure layer, not just promised in a tickbox.
How does pricing compare to Render and Railway?
Per-resource pay-as-you-go from €1/month for a Pico web service or €4/month for a Micro Postgres. There is no monthly plan fee — you pay only for the services, databases, and storage you actually run. Bandwidth is €0.01/GB after the included allowance, build minutes are €0.005/min after 500 free minutes per team.
Can I run production services on my own hardware?
Yes. Enrol a machine you own — a desktop, a home server, a VPS you already pay for — and pick it under "Where it runs" when you create a service. There is no compute charge, since the CPU and memory are yours: €3/month per environment covers the control plane, the dashboard and the public URL, with your first one free. The agent connects outbound only, so the machine needs no open port and no fixed IP, and traffic comes back through our edge — your custom domains keep their HTTPS. The trade is availability: the service runs only while that machine does, and goes down with it. Managed databases can run there too — free, and still backed up off-site with us — but a database on your machine is reachable only from that same machine, so the app that queries it has to live there as well.
Are you GDPR-compliant? What about the DPA?
We are GDPR-native, not GDPR-retrofitted. A Data Processing Agreement is attached to every account at signup — no legal back-and-forth. Sub-processors are listed publicly and limited to EEA-based providers for EU projects.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You keep full access until the end of your billing period. Daily database backups are kept for 7 days during the active life of the database, and you can export everything as JSON plus standard pg_dump / mysqldump / mongodump files from your settings at any time before cancellation.
Can I migrate from Render, Railway, Heroku, or Fly.io?
Yes — same Docker-based model, same env-var conventions, same GitHub App flow. The CLI imports environment variables from a .env file (hoststack env import), and refuses any line whose value would not arrive exactly as written. Step-by-step migration guides for each platform live in the docs.
Does HostStack include analytics, error tracking and uptime monitoring?
Yes — all of them are built in rather than bolted on. Cookieless site analytics that needs no consent banner (and works on sites hosted anywhere), error tracking over one plain HTTP POST with any issue handed to the coding agent in your dev box, uptime checks that probe your public URL from outside, and Google Search Console and Bing per site with a weekly SEO audit that says what to fix first. Alerts go to Slack, Discord, email or browser push, and one Monitoring page rolls it all up. See /monitoring.
