Refund Policy
Last updated: April 2026
14-day right of withdrawal (EU)
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a paid plan within 14 days of your first subscription, without giving a reason. We will refund the full amount paid for that period.
Note: by deploying a service or otherwise actively using the platform during the withdrawal period, you may be deemed to have agreed to immediate performance and waived the right to withdraw — in line with EU Directive 2011/83/EU. We still process good-faith refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
Pro-rata cancellation refunds
Outside the 14-day window, you can cancel a paid subscription at any time. We refund the unused portion of the current billing period on a pro-rata basis, calculated to the day of cancellation. Pro-rata refunds appear as a credit on your next invoice or, if you fully terminate the account, as a refund to your original payment method within 14 days.
What is not refundable
- Usage-based charges that have already been incurred (compute hours, build minutes, bandwidth, storage) — these reflect resources that were actually consumed and are not refundable
- Domain registration fees passed through from third-party registrars
- Subscriptions terminated for breach of the Acceptable Use Policy
Service-credit refunds
If we miss the availability targets in our SLA, you may be eligible for a service credit applied to your next invoice. Service credits are not exchangeable for cash and do not stack with pro-rata refunds.
How to request a refund
Email billing@hoststack.dev from the email address on your account. Include your team name and the invoice ID(s) you want refunded. We acknowledge requests within one business day and process approved refunds within 14 days.
Disputes and chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback — we can usually resolve the underlying issue faster than your bank can. Chargebacks initiated without a prior good-faith attempt to contact us may result in account suspension.
